An essential part of a successful project
is in the aerial photography quality and acquisition.
Each photo and flight mission requires good planning
and experience.
The scale of the photography is dependent on the project vertical
and horizontal accuracy requirements and the sun angle should
be 30 degrees or higher, the skies should be clear, free of clouds,
smoke and excessive haze.
A flight diagram is prepared by a Certified
Photogrammetrist or an Experienced Project Manager that delineates the beginning
and end of each flight line and the center of each exposure insuring
that the project area is fully covered.
The pilot will enter the beginning and end coordinates of each
flight line into the aircraft on-board GPS navigation system.
IMC insures that top quality up-to-date calibrated
cameras are used on your projects.
These aerial cameras are calibrated by the US Department of
the Interior / US Geological Survey and a copy of the calibration
report will be supplied to you. The 6” focal length cameras
are equipped with Forward Motion Compensation or FMC that eliminates
blurring and provides clear,
concise image to use in collecting data.
IMC offers B&W, Color and IR photography as
well as Obliques for marketing purposes. |
